About Me

There's probably a lot I can put here, so you'd better watch this space or something. 8) As you probably guessed, my name is Jonathan Sewell and I live in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, Europe, The world, . I'm 17 years old, and most people say I'm a bit of a whizz with computers, but I have no idea where that came from.

It took me a couple of days to get this website up, and at the moment my good friend Yoda is serving these pages to you, under the instruction of Zernebok Hosting, owned by one Owen Rudge. I'm hoping this section will increase in size over time, along with the rest of the site. At the moment it's basically just my blog, but if I ever start any projects I'll make a section here for them!

This paragraph used to say that I have been an avid gamer for years, but all I know now is that all that time I have just been slowly realising that I actually suffer some disability that makes me permanently rubbish at gaming. I still enjoy playing the likes of Half-Life and other Source games, and generally any game that takes my fancy and is fairly cheap. I've been playing the awesome game Transport Tycoon for years, and most of the people that comment on my blog at the moment read it from Planet TT-Forums, a wholly owned subsidiary of TT-Forums.net. I don't frequent that many forums, but I'm a moderator on TT-Forums, and I have a bunch of friends there.

Ever listening to the inner child, I'm an unreserved fan of Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah-Jane Adventures, along with sci-fi shows like Futurama, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica and more general shows like The Simpsons and QI. I've recently battled through my GCSEs, gaining a respectable 6 A*s and 4 As, and my AS levels, having studied Mathematics, Computing, Physics and Chemistry in Year 12. A few years ago I wanted to do Computer Science at university, and during my GCSEs started leaning more towards the theoretical end of Physics after discovering I don't have the patience to learn programming algorithms, but now I have my eyes fairly firmly set on something in the field of electronic engineering!

Since June 2007 I've been working at Vallaton Limited, as webmaster of an ever-increasing number of websites, currently including http://www.bartongalleries.com and http://www.bramptonframing.co.uk.  Originally the job was to develop the websites and optimise them to give good search engine rankings, but now it's expanded to anything to do with IT - my boss says that if he ever gets me some business cards, they'll say System Administrator! I love working there with my friends because there's so many different things going on all the time. One week I was setting up Windows Server 2003 SBS, the next I was painting one of the tenant offices! We own a small courtyard very well hidden away from the outside world, with the Vallaton offices plus four tenant offices ideal for start-up arts-related businesses. Another of my websites is advertising this - at http://www.bramptoncourtyard.co.uk!
