You could also use this instead of your rewrite-magic:

index-file.names = ( "/dir-generator.php" )

As you know, my new system is in many ways similar to yours. I do have 6GB of shiny Corsair RAM however (generally I tended in the past to just buy eBuyer Value RAM, or similar not-very-fancy memory), and it does seem blazingly fast! I also have some 700W of PSU - I'm impressed that a 520W PSU is enough, considering the GTX260 uses a good chunk of power. I do have about 4 hard disks in here though, to your two. Still on my old Vista installation from January (which, after reinstalling all the drivers, still manages to work) - I needed this system up as quickly as I could, as it is rather important for my job! Windows 7 is something I will probably look into later in the year, but I'd want a new hard disk for that ideally.

[Aha, this works on jontysewell.net, and not on www.jontysewell.net, hence this comment being posted hours later!]

Don't sell yerself short, you could totally be an astronaut!

And I think even people applying for IT positions in the RAF need some basic training. But that would be perfect for you, you'd be at the forefront of tech, ten years ahead of everyone else! Though if you like that you may as well go into Intelligence. You could totally pass for Q :3

AV stuff is rather interesting - well, backstage techie-type things like lighting, sound and so on. If possible, see if there are any local venues that you can perhaps do voluntary work at, to see if you like it. Or, if you go to university, see if there is a union tech crew you can join (such as the Ents Crew at St Andrews, or Backstage at Bath). This is a great way of getting exposed to it, and see if you'd like to do it as a proper job - it can be very hard work, but very rewarding and good fun!

Good day!

It is I, Cornflower from the Transport Tycoon Forums. Nice website you got here Jonty.

On the poll, I like the Wii. Except when I get hit by a remote.

We don't get camping opportunities like that in Southern California D:

I'd even be hard pressed to find something like that in Norther Cali, would probably have to go even further north like Alaska D:

A visit to Iceland is definitely in my long-term To Do List :o

The occasion? It was a national Scout Jamboree, and it was all very organised! They had live TV broadcasts and all sorts, and when I got back to Reykjavik loads of people knew I'd been at the Jamboree because of my neckerchief. It was quite weird buying ( ) by Sigur Rós in a shop on the high street and the attendant asking "Did you enjoy the jamboree?", particularly as we had travelled about 300 miles from the campsite to the capital.

Once the sun had gone behind the mountains it got cold really quickly, so you had to make sure you had a jumper or two ready! The only problem was, it rose again at about 5am and warmed you up very quickly, so you'd often wake up with a jumper on inside your sleeping bag, boiling hot. I also want to visit in the winter!
