Hmmmmm

I never realised that 111,111,111² was 12,345,678,987,654,321. How awesome! There's probably some mathematical explanation that makes it plainly obvious, but I'm still happy!

Also, I've just realised I'm 16. This gives me the opportunity to add more to the About Me page! It's the holidays here for another week so I've got lots of revision to do. Apparently lots of people have been complaining about the lack of bloggage though. Well, as I just paid (OK, 9 weeks ago) for another year of hosting (thanks Owen! I'm still going to steal obiwan though.) I thought I should probably use it. It's never a good thing to find that stuff.jontysewell.co.uk accounts for over half the bandwidth, bearing in mind it's just bits and bobs that I upload for random people. :D

I can't believe nobody could figure out the album cover on the screen of my iPod in the last post! I had at least three people tell me they couldn't quite get it. It is, of course, the ineffable "Weird Al" Yankovic, with his ever-hilarious album Poodle Hat.

iPod accessories? Yay!

After seeing more and more tiny scratches accumulate on the brushed aluminium backplate of my iPod, I have decided to plump for a proper case. It was £6, which by the looks of things is quite cheap, and so far I haven't found anything wrong with it! It comes with a screen and clickwheel protector that both seem to work fine (although it took a few minutes to get the bubbles out from the screen) and it's easy enough to take off (I still prefer the iPod on its own when I'm not taking it anywhere, this makes it thicker :O)

I've also bought a slightly tacky mains/car charger off eBay, but that was only £6 too (compared to about £20 for the proper Apple mains charger) so it should be fine.

Edit: Cookies for anyone who names the album cover you can just see on the screen!

Work, and more work

It's somewhat annoying that all the courseworks that last a long time end up being due at the same time. I'd much rather have done my Systems coursework right at the start of year 10 and be rid of it by now, but meh. :O

Ooh, A-Level choices! I've pretty much made up my mind now:
Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Computing. I chose computing because I generally don't like the "ICT" course - writing letters, learning Excel functions, and most of the stuff is really easy to learn when you have a logical mind. Computing is more about programming and logic, although they do use Visual Basic. :(

I'm still not sure what I want to do with my life, but it's definitely down one of those routes! I fancy myself as a theoretical astrophysicist, but I don't think I can even spell that right at the moment.

My Mini City

I must admit, I don't usually like these website where you're supposed to get all your friends to visit and click the links, but this one is quite fun:

http://jontytown.myminicity.com/

Click it! It makes my dominion larger! :D

iPod accessories? Pah!

Who says you need to spend £30 on an iPod dock? All you need is the free universal adaptor and some blu-tack!

Also, this is the first time you get to meet my friend. Unfortunately he got a little crumpled the other day during some desk-cleaning exercises.
